Colby is playing the piano!!

I started teaching piano in August. I am really having a great time, right now I have 3 students. I just started a new student on Wednesday. After the lessons were over, Colby came up to me and asked me if I would teach him piano. I was joking with him and said that the girls I teach pay me to teach them. Colby ran off and I didn't think anymore about it. Then Colby comes up to me and hands me a whole bunch of change and said, "Mom this is all the money I have in my dinosaur bank, will you teach me to play?" It was the sweetest thing ever! I told him that I would teach him for free and he got really excited. I started right then. He is doing so good!! Holy cow, this kid loves to play the piano! He has learned a song, and now can read the notes on the music. He really is catching on fast. He wants me to teach him something new everyday. I told him that my piano students will have a recital in May and he could play a song too. He is such a cute boy! He told me that when he grows up he wants to be a football player and a piano teacher! CUTE!!

Melanie Posell said...: Good for you. I have thought about teaching piano lessons, but wouldn't know where to start. I don't think that just because I can play the piano and love it, that I could be good at teaching. I'm impressed!
