The Surgery Aftermath!

So today I got the stupid soft cast and am now in a BYU BLUE hard cast! I will be in my new best friend for 4 weeks, non weight baring the entire time, meaning crutches.... Ah...... After the cast come off, its into a boot for another month as I transition into walking again. I won’t be in the boot full time just when I walk distances and get use to walking again! The new cast is so much more comfortable and lighter! I can even go swimming with it and take showers, etc.... That will be so very nice!

They also took out the 15 stitches that they put in me and showed me the 6-8 inch incision that they made for the surgery, pretty ugly. I am going to have a very nice scar!

I now have one tiny, puny, skinny, bird leg. I can’t believe how fast you can lose your muscle mass when you don’t use your muscle!
